From August 8th, Steffen Henssler has to assert himself against stars at the “Grill den Henssler Summer Special”. These celebrities are there.
From August 8th things will be hot again at VOX: In the summer special of “Grill den Henssler”, professional chef Steffen Henssler (48) competes against numerous stars in four episodes on the floating stage in Elbauenpark in Magdeburg and shows what he can do on the grill. Because instead of on the oven or stove, the dishes have to be prepared over an open fire and on a hood.

Due to an inflammation of the foot, Steffen Henssler can only be seen next to the grill in the first episode. Detlef Steves (52) is once again his “extended arm” and will compete for him against the stars. Also presenter Laura Wontorra (32) has to stand a lap at the grill. In the other three episodes, however, the 48-year-old is back in action himself.
A total of 18 celebrities want to really heat up the grill expert: Michi Beck (54) and Smudo (53) from the hip-hop group Die Fantastischen Vier are part of the party for the first time. The No Angles Nadja Benaissa (39), Lucy Diakovska (45), Sandy Mölling (40) and Jessica Wahls (44) venture into the show. Other candidates are ex-soccer professional and “Let’s Dance” winner Rúrik Gíslason (33), singer Pietro Lombardi (29), presenter Jana Ina Zarrella (44), “DSDS” winner Beatrice Egli (33) and presenter Steven Gätjen (48 ). Alec Völkel (49) and Sascha Vollmer (49) from The BossHoss, comedian Ilka Bessin (49), presenter Lola Weippert (25) and singer Sammy Amara (42) also grab the grill tongs. In the first episode, Steffen Henssler’s right arm, Detlef Steves, together with javelin thrower Mathias Mester (34), tries to grill the professional chef from the throne in one episode.
New episodes in front of an audience
If the stars don’t know what to do, the professionals Lucki Maurer, Ali Güngörmüs (44), the Eggert brothers and Johann Lafer (63) are at their side with their expertise. Mirja Boes (49), Reiner Calmund (72) and Christian Rach (64) act as the jury. There is also a live audience in Magdeburg: Due to the low number of corona cases and a strict hygiene concept, up to 480 people were allowed to record, as announced by the broadcaster.
The programs will be broadcast on VOX from August 8th, always on Sundays at 8.15 p.m. The consequences are always seven days in advance on TVnow retrievable.
