Grill den Henssler: Tim Mälzer is clearly defeated by the host in the end

The landlord triumphs: TV chef Steffen Henssler wins in the VOX show "Grill den Henssler" against his eternal rival Tim Mälzer.

Battle of the giants at VOX: The eagerly awaited duel between the two TV chef legends Steffen Henssler (47) and Tim Mälzer (49) was won by the host of "Grill den Henssler" on Sunday evening. Henssler was thus happy with the revenge for his defeat from the "Kitchen Impossible" malting show this spring. But the two Hamburgers had to push themselves to the limit in the end to find a winner.

Maltsters in particular seemed to be physically exhausted in some phases. The TV cook had to sit down several times after exhausting cooking rounds and even went to the floor completely exhausted. It all started quite harmlessly: The quick improvement to the start was still undecided after analysis by the jury consisting of Christian Rach (63), Reiner Calmund (71) and Mirja Boes (48). When it came to the starter, a liver paté with cherries, Mälzer was just ahead of the pack, but the main course made the decision.

Königsberger Klopse let maltsters fail

Both chefs were able to bring a prominent helper to their side: Mälzer resorted to his best friend Sasha (48), Henssler was supported by comedian Mario Barth (47). The task: Königsberger Klopse with potatoes and salad. But the latter is doomed for the team Mälzer / Sasha: he is almost forgotten and only carelessly thrown onto a plate just a few minutes before the end of the round. Mälzer swears: "Who eats that with salad? What kind of sick world is it?" The jury also rated the Henssler version significantly better because of the salad.

And the dessert, Kaiserschmarrn with a sweet berry dream, could no longer save Mälzer from the impending defeat. Quite the contrary: Again, his opponent was ahead of the game with a classic variant. In the end, Henssler triumphed quite clearly with 93 to 83 points and drew Mälzer's kindly resentment: "It's such an arrogant catastrophe over there …"
