The winners of the Grimme Online Awards 2021 have been announced. Among them is TV star Enissa Amani (37), who was awarded for the format “The best instance” in the “Special” category.
In the jury’s statement it says: “In the midst of the controversial discussion about the controversial WDR program ‘The Last Instance’, in which an all-white group of celebrities talked ignorantly and inappropriately about racism, the comedienne Enissa Amani responded with a surprising intervention and demonstrated how it was could work differently – better -: She independently initiated, moderated and financed the internet program ‘The Best Instance’, in which five experts were well-founded, factual and informed about anti-Semitism and racism in general and discrimination against Sinti * ze and Rome * nja specifically discussed. “
The Hamburg school principal Björn Lengwenus can also look forward to an award. At the Alter Teichweg district school, he accompanied homeschooling through the daily “Dulsberg Late Night” show. “You could see what is possible in a school when pedagogical passion and artistic creativity meet a crisis,” said the jury. “Dulsberg Late Night” managed to use the simple means of the Internet in an outstanding way to “strengthen the sense of community in their own school in a time of agony and loneliness – and at the same time to present it to the whole country as a charming role model”.
TikTok-Star wins two prizes
For his knowledge transfer on the TikTok platform, moderator Niklas Kolorz won two awards, in the knowledge and education category and the audience award. “He manages to pack science into understandable, but never simplistic bits. He does it with a lot of humor and in a setting that at first glance does not fit TikTok,” it says.
