Released on December 13, 2018 on Switch and PC, GREY was then ported to PS4, iOS and Android, not without crossing the milestone of one million copies sold in the spring of 2020. On the occasion of its 4th anniversary, the game will also be available on PS5, Xbox Series from December 13, 2022 , with an upgrade at no additional cost for PS4 players. The PS5 version will also be optimized in 4K and 120 frames per second with support for DualSense (haptic feedback, speaker and more). The Xbox Series X port will offer the choice between two modes (4K at 60 frames per second or 2K at 120 frames per second) while Xbox Series S players will be entitled to the 2K + 120 frames per second combo. If necessary, this title without dialogue and all in sensitivity with its memorable music will also be available on Xbox One.

The world is grey, the world is blue

Four years earlier, Gautoz had melted in front of the artistic approach of Nomada Studio, applauding its artistic flashes and the impact of its soundtrack, but also its accessible experience of a few hours putting all narration in the background for the benefit of interpretation. “The minimalist soundtrack between piano and synthetic layers is the melancholy of the devastated little explorer. When the situation calls for it, when the game gives itself one of its surges of tension – remotely comparable to boss battles – this is the music that fills the space. It breathes fear, courage or euphoria under the wing of the game. There are sensory and magical moments in GRIS, explosions of freedom that can leave you speechless. There too, thatgamecompany can rest easy, the succession is assured“, can we read in his test.
