The LDLC Group, a key player in IT and high-tech commerce, had already committed to Time for the Planet in 2021 by donating 200,000 euros to the citizen fund. This year, the company injected an additional 800,000 euros, thus becoming one of the majority shareholders of the citizens’ fund!
With this gesture, the LDLC Group and its Founding President Laurent de la Clergerie reaffirm their support for this collective project. As a reminder, Time for the Planet, a non-profit fund created by young entrepreneurs from Lyon in 2019, aims to finance 100 companies intended to fight against climate change, in particular through the reduction of greenhouse gases, and this on a global scale. To date, more than 70,000 shareholders have already joined the adventure, and more than 12 million euros have been collected, out of the billion targeted.
There is blindness to global warming. It is essential to support initiatives like Time for the Planet which tackle the problem head-on. Companies must realize that they are the ones who will manage to move the system, so that tomorrow a balance is possible between economic activity and environmental awareness.
says Laurent de la Clergerie, President and Founder of the LDLC Group.
A Lyonnais Challenge for the planet: deadline November 30!
Nearly 200 entrepreneurs have become shareholders individually, and/or with their company. Among which Jean-Michel and Alexandre Aulas, Renaud Sornin (Legal Certificate/OFA), Gilles Assolant (Lyon Métropole Angels), Laurent Fiard (Visiativ), Nicolas Rousset (Evolem), Pascal Hostachy (Woonoz, Voltaire Foundation), François Paret ( Woonoz), Luc Romano (Too Smart), François Duvillard (Sidas), Emilie Legoff (Troops), etc.
Their common point, in addition to their desire to act concretely to fight against climate change: to believe in the effectiveness of the business model to respond to the challenge of climate change, and in collective intelligence to achieve the common objective of decarbonization. of the world economy. Today, these entrepreneurs are calling on other entrepreneurs in Lyon and its region to do like them, by taking up the Grand Défi Lyonnais and becoming shareholders of Time for the Planet.
