GSK: First listing of Haleon scheduled for July 18

(CercleFinance.com) – GSK announced on Wednesday that its consumer healthcare subsidiary Haleon will make its debut on the London Stock Exchange on July 18.

In an update on the split, the British biopharmaceutical group says it plans to distribute 80% of its stake in its consumer healthcare entity to its shareholders.

For the record, GSK controls 68% of the capital of Haleon, of which the remaining 32% is held by the American Pfizer.

In its press release, the laboratory specifies that the performance of the subsidiary will be accounted for as discontinued operations in its second quarter accounts, which will be published on July 27.

Haleon has planned for its part to carry out a point of activity during the month of September.

GSK specifies that the Haleon securities will also be listed on the New York Stock Exchange in the form of American Depositary Shares (ADS).

For its part, Pfizer has decided to part with its 32% stake “in a disciplined manner” in order to create value for its shareholders.
