GSK: Headquarters will move to central London

(CercleFinance.com) – GSK announced on Monday its intention to move its headquarters to central London, where it will accommodate 3,000 employees, including employees of certain subsidiaries.

The British pharmaceutical group, currently based in Brentford, west London, says it plans to move into its new premises sometime in 2024.

The lab says it chose the Earnshaw site because of its proximity to the city’s new life sciences district, London’s Knowledge Quarter, where King’s College is already located.

The building, which must display a ‘remarkable’ BREEAM certification, will bring together the management, research and development, supply and sales teams as well as those of the subsidiary ViiV Healthcare who will all work there in ‘hybrid’ mode.

This is a homecoming for GSK, where the company was born in 1715 from the Plow Court Pharmacy.

Yesterday, GSK reported favorable phase III data on its momelotinib for the treatment of myelofibrosis with symptom response rate, transfusion independence and spleen level response present in the majority of patients with responded to treatment within the first 24 weeks.
