Inducted in December 2016, the GSX 1000 is back in a second edition with some new features. First, if its format does not change, its finish is modernized with a black and red dress, in particular linked to the change of the volume control wheel. Moreover, the digital control is now unified with Windows for ease of use. Another major visible change, the enthronement of the USB-C port instead of the micro-USB – keeping it would have been more than a fashion faux pas…
Beyond the updated design, the GSX 1000 (2nd edition) promises “perfect” voice capture, thanks in particular to better quality conversion for the incoming signal. Its sampling frequency goes from 16 kHz to 48 kHz/16 bits. Epos does not give more information about possible additional changes, so the sound card retains all its original features and properties, its microphone input and headphone and speaker outputs, all in 3.5 mm mini-jack.
The GSX 1000 (2nd edition) is available for €199.
