GTA 5: Preloading, graphics and exclusive content on PS5 and Xbox Series


The starred firm has decided to take stock with its players a few days before the release of Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online on next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles. If we have already had several pieces of information in the past, Rockstar Games has announced exclusive new features coming to Online Mode.

For years now, GTA 5 has been significantly boosted by its online mode, GTA 5 Online. If the latter still benefits today from major updates, there are nevertheless certain things that we would like to see change or evolve.

GTA 5 and GTA Online more realistic than ever on PS5 and Xbox Series

On March 15, players will be able to discover or rediscover GTA 5 and GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. Those lucky ones will be able to enjoy significant technological improvementsespecially when it comes to graphics with high-end PC visuals, as well as new graphics modes offering 4K resolution and all in 60FPS. In addition, several options will be available such as HDR but also raytracingwhich will make games look ever more realistic.

However, players may choose to choose from 3 graphics settings to adapt the gaming experience, with loyalty mode (30FPS), performance mode (60 FPS), as well as Performance RT modea hybrid of the two modes mentioned above.

Progress transfer for GTA 5 and GTA Online

Good news for PS4 and Xbox One players: transfer of story mode progress as well as their characters to GTA Online will be possible to PS5 and Xbox Series, and it can be done today. However, it is worth pointing out that transfers are only possible between consoles of the same family.

Players can begin transferring their Story Mode progress by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To begin this process, enter GTAV on your current console account and go to the Game tab in the Pause menu. From there, select the Download game save option.

Preloading GTA 5 and GTA Online

GTA 5 and GTA Online will be available digitally from March 15 through their respective stores. Thereby, pre-purchases but also pre-loading will begin on March 8.

New stuff coming to GTA Online
