GTA 6: Rockstar is said to have planned with 3 cities and 4 protagonists

GTA 6

Hardly any game is as hotly anticipated as GTA 6. Now it turns out that Rockstar Games had originally planned with more protagonists and cities than expected.

  • Apparently earlier plans for GTA 6 have been leaked.
  • Rockstar had probably initially planned a larger scope.

The expectations of GTA 6 are huge and Rockstar Games apparently wanted to raise the game very big. Originally, four protagonists and three cities were planned, reports PCGamesn with reference to statements by Stephen Totilo, who works at the game site Axios.

These claims follow a Bloomberg report by well-known journalist Jason Schreier. That report names two protagonists who are strongly inspired by the story of Bonnie and Clyde. You will therefore also play a woman.

The GTA 6 map will probably only be limited to Miami (“Vice City”) and the surrounding area.

However, there is still the forecast that GTA 6 will initially appear with a slightly smaller scope and then be expanded with updates. This is a decision by Rockstar Games to keep the development phase stable and not burden the employees with too much overtime (“crunch time”) when it comes to completion.

New maps through DLCs possible

It seems unlikely that new protagonists will be added to the story afterwards. However, Rockstar could add new areas with expansions (“DLCs”).

You’ll have to be patient to find out more. After all, an announcement is still possible in 2022. However, you should not expect the release of GTA 6 until 2024 at the earliest.
