GTA 6: Take-Two Interactive bans a Goat Simulator 3 ad containing images of the leak

We would never have thought of associating GTA 6 to Goat Simulator 3 in one and the same article, but this year is definitely full of surprises. The game of Coffee Stain North is known for its offbeat communication that doesn’t hesitate to parody other games, as the first trailer for this episode showed by mimicking the first trailer for Dead Island 2. The studio wanted to repeat this practice by attacking this time a huge behemoth, GTA 6but take two obviously didn’t like the joke.

A bit too visual a joke

Eurogamer reports that Goat Simulator 3 recently got a new offbeat ad featuring a made-up NPC by the name of Shaun. The latter presents himself as a model who declares to have several projects in progress, including one which leaked a few months ago. The NPC here refers to GTA 6which is well supported by the advertisement which explicitly shows a montage of several leaked videos of Rockstar’s game.

As saying that Take-Two Interactive did not appreciate that these stolen images appeared on an advertisement of the genre and had the latter banned. Even if the idea is funny, we must admit that it is not very smart on the part of Coffee Stain North who could have suspected that this advertisement had little chance of being approved as it stands. But at least it got people talking about the game, and maybe that was just what the studio was looking for.
