The GTA license (Grand Theft Auto, of its full name) is no longer to present, as GTA V is one of the most played games in the world, at the same time as GTA Online. Moreover, if it was highly anticipated, and has been for many years, Rockstar has officially announced that it is working on the development of GTA 6. The CEO of Take-Two recently spoke about it.
In an interview for Gamesindustry.biz, Strauss Selznick, current CEO of Take-Two, spoke about his vision for the future of the series. He thus mentioned the fact that, according to him, the series could not remain stuck in the past.. He stated that ” You must always be prepared to be fresh […] You must always be ready to give consumers what they want. As soon as you try to protect the past, you become irrelevant”. Moreover, he adds that NFTs seem legitimate to him, for his part: ” We believe NFTs are real, and why wouldn’t they be? We believe in digital goods and have been selling digital goods for a very long time”.
If we don’t yet know what turn GTA 6 will take, it is very likely that the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series will renew the formula a little, according to these words. On the other hand, for the moment, Rockstar Games hasn’t officially ruled on whether or not NFTs will be included in GTA 6.. They did not give more details about this next title.
