GTA 6: Uber also collaborates with the FBI to track down the hacker

The colossal leak of GTA 6 definitely marks this return to school, and the soap opera is still far from over. Yesterday, Rockstar admitted that the stolen videos were indeed from old builds of GTA 6, which must cause a stir never seen before in the studio. Despite this unprecedented leak, the team assures us that it will not cause any major long-term impact on development, but in the short term, we imagine that everyone is looking at the origin of this leak and how it could to arrive. The hacker hunt has therefore been launched for two days, but not only at Rockstar.

A case that takes on a national dimension

Uber was also recently the victim of a data breach, and the company said it could be the same person behind the Rockstar hack. Or rather from the same group, who would call themselves Slip$which would be based in South America and which has already been active for several months, by attacking in particular companies such as Microsoft or Nvidia.

There were also reports over the weekend that the same actor hacked video game studio Rockstar Games. We are in close coordination with the FBI and the US Department of Justice on this matter and will continue to support their efforts. »

This case therefore goes far beyond the world of video games, and federal authorities are actively investigating the case. We don’t really know how it will all end, but at least let’s hope for the teams that Rockstar can soon focus on the development of GTA 6.
