During today’s controls of the LVA personnel, eleven license plates were removed due to technical defects such as changes to the exhaust system, lowering etc. in connection with the unofficial tuning meeting. The controls took place around the Wörthersee and in Villach.
A total of around 150 license plates have been removed from cars due to serious traffic defects since the controls began. In general, the number of tuned cars can be classified as low.
Rubber-rubber
At around 4 p.m. today, a 19-year-old man from the Gmünd district in Lower Austria deliberately and loudly spun the wheels of his car at the parking lot of the Pyramidenkogelturm in front of a cheering crowd. Due to the “rubber-rubber” the tire abrasion stuck to the asphalt and the area was enveloped in thick clouds of smoke. The man was checked by a patrol from the state traffic department. He is reported to the BH Klagenfurt Land for the offenses described. Since he was still heavily drunk and gave his demonstration to the best, his driver’s license was taken from him on the spot.
