(CercleFinance.com) – GTT announced yesterday evening that it has been chosen by its partner, the Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co. Ltd. for the design of the tanks of six new LNG carriers, on behalf of several Asian shipowners.
GTT will design the tanks of these six LNG carriers, each of which will offer a total capacity of 174,000 m3, and will incorporate the NO96 Super+ membrane containment system developed by GTT.
The delivery of the vessels is scheduled between the third quarter of 2027 and the fourth quarter of 2028, indicates GTT.
