GTT enters into agreement with Chinese shipbuilding group CSCC

(AOF) – GTT, specialist in membrane containment systems dedicated to the transport and storage of liquefied gases, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), a shipbuilding giant in China. The agreement provides for cooperation between GTT and twelve subsidiaries of the CSSC group, particularly in the areas of the design and construction of new ships, cryogenic confinement technologies for LNG, LNG fuel and even smart shipping solutions.

As part of this agreement, GTT and CSSC aim to develop and market competitive solutions for the storage and transport of LNG using GTT technologies.

This initiative extends to all types of vessels, including container ships, bulk carriers, tankers and LNG-powered ro-ro vessels. This cooperation also aims to optimize the engineering of LNG carriers, particularly on capacities from 175,000 m³ to 270,000 m³, of the latest generation of LNG tankers and offshore platforms (FLNG = Floating LNG Liquefaction and Storage Unit and FSRU = stationary vessels capable of loading LNG from LNG carriers, storing it and regasifying it).
