(Boursier.com) — GTT announces that in May 2022 it received an order from its partners the Korean shipyards Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) for the design of the LNG1 tanks of four new LNG carriers. Two of these LNG carriers will be built by HHI, and the other two by HSHI, on behalf of the same Asian shipowner.
GTT will design the tanks of these LNG carriers, each of which will offer a cargo capacity of 174,000 m3 and will incorporate the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT.
Delivery of the vessels is scheduled between the first and fourth quarters of 2025.
