GTT: strong growth in profits in 2023

(AOF) – GTT revealed significantly improved 2023 results and a sharp increase in its dividend. Its net profit jumped 57% to 201.37 million euros and consolidated Ebitda increased 45.6% to 235 million euros. Turnover followed the same trend, increasing by 39.2% to 428 million euros. With significantly improved results, GTT has decided to propose the distribution of a dividend of 4.36 euros per share for the 2023 financial year, an increase of 40.6%. This proposed dividend corresponds to a distribution rate of 80% of consolidated net income.

An interim dividend in the amount of 1.85 euros per share having already been paid on December 14, 2023, the payment in cash of the balance of the dividend, in the amount of 2.51 euros per share, will take place on June 20, 2024 (detachment of the balance of the dividend on June 18, 2024).

Commenting on these results, Philippe Berterottière, CEO of GTT, said: “With a total of 73 orders for LNG carriers, two orders for ethane carriers and one order for an LNG liquefaction unit during the 2023 financial year, the commercial performance of our main activity remains very strong”.

Before adding: “The demand for LNG remains particularly strong and sustainable, as illustrated by the number of final investment decisions for new liquefaction plants taken at the start of the year and involving very large volumes.”

This year, the technological expert in membrane containment systems dedicated to the transport and storage of liquefied gases is targeting a consolidated turnover of between 600 and 640 million euros. Consolidated Ebitda is expected between 345 to 385 million euros. For the 2024 financial year, GTT intends to pay a dividend corresponding to a minimum distribution rate of 80% of consolidated net income.
