(CercleFinance.com) – GTT announces that it has received an order from parent company HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) for the design of tanks for two LNG carriers and one large capacity LNG carrier (VLEC).
The two LNG carriers will be built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries on behalf of the shipowner Nakilat.
GTT will design the tanks for these two LNG carriers, each with a total capacity of 174,000 m3 and integrating the Mark IIIFlex membrane containment system developed by GTT.
Delivery of these two LNG carriers is scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
The VLEC will be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries on behalf of the shipowner Purus Maritime. GTT will design the tanks for this large-capacity ethane tanker, with a total capacity of 98,000 m3 and integrating the Mark III membrane containment system developed by GTT.
Delivery of this ethane tanker is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
