Back to the look of the original comics: New pictures from the set of “Guardians of the Galaxy” show Chris Pratt in a different style.

New photos from the shooting of “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” show Chris Pratt (42) and Co. in a new look. The online magazine “Justjared.com” has provided images from the set of the superhero sequel.

The new outfit by Chris Pratt alias Star-Lord is particularly striking. Unlike the first two Marvel Comics adaptations, the leader of the Guardians isn’t wearing his signature leather jacket. Instead, Star-Lord presents a high-necked uniform in blue and gray with red applications. Nebula (Karen Gillan, 34) also wears the costume on the set pictures.

Back to comic book roots

The uniforms come from the comic templates of the “Guardians” inventors Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. The team wore them in the 2008 comic book series Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1: Legacy, the debut of the superhero force in the Marvel comics cosmos. The third and probably last film about the “Guardians of the Galaxy” returns to the roots of the characters, at least visually.

In addition to the newly attired title heroes, you can see all sorts of weird aliens in human clothing on the pictures from the set. Some are reminiscent of rabbits, others look like wild boars. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is slated to hit theaters in May 2023.
