(AOF) – Intrasense, a new subsidiary of Guerbet serving medical imaging, joins the group as an independent structure, in order to “accelerate its strategy of integrating and marketing artificial intelligence technologies from third parties”, including the algorithms developed by Guerbet for the detection of liver lesions, cancers of the prostate, pancreas and bone lesions. Guerbet announced on June 8 that it held 56.46% of the capital and 56.1% of the voting rights of Intrasense following its takeover bid.
Guerbet and its subsidiary “aim to position themselves as a major player in artificial intelligence applied to medical imaging in oncology”. The start of this collaboration will be formalized during a press conference to be held in Montpellier, at Intrasense’s premises, on June 21, in the presence of Nicolas Reymond, Managing Director of Intrasense and François Nicolas, Senior Vice -President Research, Development and Innovation and Chief Digital Officer of Guerbet, appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intrasense on May 24.
