Water and electricity are life threatening! Mario H. was flabbergasted when he discovered a loose power cable in the stadium pool right next to the edge of the pool. He reported this to the lifeguard. “But hours later the cable was still there,” says the family man of the “Krone”. The incident is “inexcusable” for the swimming pool.
The employee concerned must expect termination. When Mario H. came to the stadium pool with his daughter on Thursday morning, he imagined himself to be in a bad film: “Immediately after arrival, I discovered the power cable on the edge of the pool, which was connected to a power box.” He informed the pool attendant. But for the first time the employee did nothing.
Apparently the lifeguard was not aware of the danger: “Three hours later, the power cable was still there,” says H. It was only removed at 1.30 p.m. The stadium pool operator, Wien-Holding, was also shocked by the incident when asked by “Krone”. “That is inexcusable,” explains a spokesman. It doesn’t help that the fuse in the electrical box was switched off. As a small reparation, Mario H. receives a voucher worth 30 euros.
