In our “Ask Guido” section, our readers put their questions directly to the fashion designer. Today: How can I look stylish with “wave arms”?

Let’s be honest for a moment: We would all like to have our own Guido to help us with questions about style and fashion, right? With our “Ask Guido” section, we come as close as possible to this dream. Because here we offer our readers the opportunity to ask the fashion icon their most pressing questions: Which color does what for me? How can I skilfully stage my body shape? If you yourself need a few styling tips, help with decoration or other topics: Here you can find out how you can send your own question to Guido.

Ask Guido: how to cleverly conceal “wave arms”.

Today everything revolves around the topic of “wave arms” – i.e. sagging tissue on the upper arm. In the phenomenon, the tissue lacks elasticity – whether due to a large increase in weight or, as in the case of the reader, a large decrease. She has lost 20 kg and basically feels great. But now that summer is fast approaching us, she is looking for the right fashion for herself.

There are very few T-shirts whose sleeves hide my “waving arms” – do you have a tip for me?

That’s what Guido says: “What’s wonderful, of course, are these slightly asymmetrically cut tops, and trapezoidal T-shirts also conjure up wonderfully. Then you can still see the shoulders, which she might like to show, and also the breasts. Then there is a light jersey that falls over one shoulder. There are also halternecks, i.e. blouses that still have an armhole.

Or simply very light, wide shirt blouses or dresses that are worn with something narrower underneath. And otherwise generally overlapping garments. But it’s a little difficult. One possibility would be sleeves, but then please make sure that they are not too tight. Tunics can also look very beautiful.

But my most important wish for you would be something else: I would advise you to learn to love your arms! If everything else is a size 40, then there’s not much else you can do either. Of course there is an option to have your arms lifted, but it leaves scars and that’s why not many people do it.”
