Guido Maria Kretschmer reveals which color suits curvy people particularly well

We’ve heard that winter is going to be colourful, just like the common fashion myth that curvy people prefer to keep their distance from bright colours. Tell me, dear Guido, is that even true?
You can hardly miss them: the splashes of color that get us through the gray season in the form of colorful coats, dresses or bags. Nice! If some of us didn’t have a little devil sitting on our shoulders, whispering in our ears: You can’t possibly carry that! How so? Well, because we don’t think we fit, our thighs are too wide, our busts are too big or our hips are too big. There it is again, the little “too” that has crept into our heads with media ideals of beauty and fashion myths and is now making our lives difficult. One of these beliefs is: if you are “too” curvy, you can’t wear bright colors and probably emphasize your curves with them. Well, where are we going then?
Lucky that we have Guido Maria Kretschmer at our side for such questions. He knows the little problems we sometimes struggle with around our bodies – and also that many such fashion myths about what is allowed and what is not are long outdated. We just asked him what curvy people can do with the bright colors this year. And tada, his fantastic answer comes promptly:
I believe that curvy people are allowed to do everything!
So: Nobody has to tell us how to dress, whether curvy or not. Above all, Guido Maria Kretschmer encourages people to wear what they feel comfortable in. If there was a rule for curvy people, it would be this: “The only thing curvy people can’t do is deny that they’re curvy”says Guido.
Instead, feel free to accentuate your curves! After all, they can be wonderfully staged with the right colors. But because some people have long hidden themselves in simple, inconspicuous tones, this change is sometimes not so easy. For them, Guido has some advice on how to incorporate color into your wardrobe now: “For anyone who wants to start now, I would start with shades of red. Red and curves go very well together!”
Anyone who is already at home in the color world can also become bolder. Incidentally, people with little curves who would like a few more curves can also benefit here: “Then there are colors in which the curve is of course a bit more rounded – these are yellow tones, but lilac quickly makes a bit more – but they do that managed well,” Guido explains to us. Ultimately, there is something for each of us – whether curvy or not.
