Buy once, always wear: This all-rounder belongs in every wardrobe

Guido Maria Kretschmer knows which items of clothing do something for us – and which don’t. In an interview, he revealed an all-rounder that we can wear forever.
The one thing you grab in the morning when you need something fast. That takes us stylishly through lunch meetings and after-work dates. That accompanies and protects us in summer and winter. And that should not be missing in any suitcase or vacation.
Such a favorite piece of clothing has quite a few requirements to fulfil. But if we choose it carefully, it saves us tedious mental work in everyday life. Because no matter how stressful it gets, we know we can’t go wrong with this part. But how do we choose it?
That’s what we wanted to know in our interview with Guido Maria Kretschmer, who is immediately going through his studio in his head, looking up into the air for a moment, thinking, but then resolutely replies: that’s the cardigan!
Buy once, always wear – the cardigan is a “real all-rounder”
“Cardigans have experienced a great revival and many bought them last season,” Guido continues, which in turn is a lasting argument for the good piece. After all, you don’t even have to buy it again – assuming it is a high-quality part.”It has to be made of a nice material, not fluffy and stay in shape,” are Guido’s tips that you should pay attention to when buying. “If it’s one that’s well cut, that can be used at home and outside – and that you can style well,” then you can never go wrong with a cardigan.

Speaking of styling… the cardigan also takes the burden of thought off our shoulders by always gently caressing it instead. The knitting years can be combined with almost anything, so you don’t have to worry about it: “Very simple with a shirt, with a blouse underneath, I would say a cardigan always works,” advises Guido.
If you’re still having trouble buying a jacket for spring, when the shop windows are already screaming summer, Guido will take away your last doubts: “In a cool, neutral color it can be used all year round. You can too take it with you on holiday when it gets cold in the evening, just like you can wear it with a blouse in the office. I believe in the cardigan, it’s the modern cardigan, a real all-rounder,” he enthuses in our interview .
