Guido Maria Kretschmer was the victim of sexual harassment at a young age. One very special event still preoccupies him today.
Designer Guido Maria Kretschmer ("A blouse doesn't make summer") spoke in an interview with the "Bild" newspaper about his own experiences with sexual harassment. He himself has seen border crossings in the fashion industry: "Especially when you are young and cute and they know that you are a gay boy. How many men then attack while drunk – unbelievable!"
At an appointment in the 1990s, however, he was sexually harassed: "As a young designer, I approached a company with my designs. Then this strange marketing guy suddenly came closer and closer." They would have waited together for the boss. "I was wearing a short-sleeved jacket and he always stroked my arm and my skin," says Kretschmer.
Then this man kept saying to him: "How can you have such beautiful, delicate, brown skin?" But it didn't stop there: "At some point he grabbed my neck and said: 'Also in the neck." This experience is disturbing for him to this day. Kretschmer couldn't stand it when strangers grabbed his neck.
