Would you like to have a pair of summer shoes that you can wear around the clock every day and that look stylish for every occasion? Here Guido has the right tip for this summer.
Summer is here faster than expected and finally the open shoes can be taken out of the closet again. The kicks from last year are no longer beautiful? Then you are probably asking yourself which shoes are particularly popular this summer and which go with as many outfits and occasions as possible. With the large selection that you have in shoe shops or online, it is not that easy to find the right one.
Clogs, tip-toes, strappy sandals, heeled sandals… they’re all nice, but either pretty uncomfortable to walk around in all day or just too ordinary to really spice up your summer outfit. Luckily, Guido Maria Kretschmer has a tip on which shoes you should buy if you only had to decide on one pair of shoes this summer.
Mules are absolutely top this summer
We are reassured: what Guido recommends is not only pretty and casual, but also really comfortable. Mules are the best shoe all-rounder you can imagine this summer. “They’re great for the summer. You just slip them on and you immediately get a summer feeling,” says Guido. “These mules can also be flat. That goes with many summer styles, long and short dresses. And the great thing: You can also wear them as mules at home if at some point you don’t want to wear them outside anymore.”
What are mules?
Not sure what mules even are? Surely you’ve seen them many times, but didn’t know until now that they’re called that. Mules are shoes with an open back. They are often also referred to as mules. The fact that they are open at the back is the main common denominator of these shoes, because otherwise they can look quite different. They can be open or closed at the front, flat or with a heel.
This year, however, the flat versions with a closed front are particularly popular. This is not only really comfortable, but also gives your overall look a pleasant touch of understatement. Because the shoe is relatively simple, it blends wonderfully into any outfit without appearing boring.
How do I combine mules?
As already indicated, mules are the absolute fashion all-rounders. They not only go well with a sporty outfit with leggings or shorts (as above) and a shirt and enhance this optically, but also look great with long summer dresses. Especially when these are colorful and flowery, they create an interesting contrast to plain, black mules.
You love it more flashy and wild? Then you can also fall back on mules with exciting patterns. They are available with a great animal print, which looks particularly good when it looks a bit simpler at the top. But buckles or items made of braided materials are also eye-catchers.
And if you can walk in heels all day without any problems, heeled mules are also a great alternative for you.
