Tuesday, February 9, 2021 was a day under the sign of sadness at the campus of the University of Paris-Nanterre. According to information from Parisian, the lifeless body of Guillaume T., a twenty-year-old student, was found within the residence of the faculty. The young man, a first year student in economic and social administration, was discovered hanged in his university room. "Everyone is in shock here. But it is still unclear what prompted this student to end his life", said a member of the teaching team. According to the first investigations, It would be suicide. The death of Guillaume T. caused a strong emotion with his comrades and on the Web. Known for his activism, the student had spilled a lot of ink on social networks by having posted a long testimony accusing Maxime Cochard, elected PCF Parisian aged 36, for acts of rape.
Maxime Cochard at the heart of a scandal
It is an accusation that had the effect of a bomb. "I consider that they took advantage of my youth, of my naivety, of the fact that due to family problems I didn't really have a place to sleep, of their responsibilities within the PCF to have unwanted sex with me", Guillaume T. said on Twitter. Charges that the politician had denied through Fanny Colin, his lawyer. "I never raped nobody, never", he assured, according to information reported by the Parisian. "It was a consensual act, between adults", insisted the lawyer of the Paris Bar. For the time being, the current investigation does not mention no link between the suicide of Guillaume T. and his accusations against Maxime Cochard and his companion.
