The set of the week
From the first day of competition, the players chose to spoil us. Russia and Italy had a good match, but one set particularly marked the spectators. The Russian Gogawa was playing against the Italian Mr.Jetstream, in a confrontation that several people had to pass in apnea, it was so tight. The game of the week
Several nations intrigue the public, because their scenes are unknown even if formidable players have already emerged at home. The match between the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia therefore aroused the curiosity of the fans. The least we can say about the latter is that it kept all its promises. Meetings contested until the last second, with a suspense that many films would like to have, all sprinkled with a fantastic level of play, this is what these two countries have offered us. Summary of the week
France had the difficult task of opening the tournament together with the Austria-Switzerland alliance. The tricolors won the victory without trembling, even if Akaraien managed for a few minutes to restore hope to his team. The second meeting opposed Italy to Russia, and it was the transalpine who won despite a very good resistance from their opponents, in particular their captain Kurokich who atomized his counterpart Nelkhael during their confrontation. On the second day, the Israel-Turkey team faced that of Norway-Sweden. The Israeli Zando, captain of the alliance, paved the way for his team by winning each time the first matches of the different sets without losing even a round, and his team completed the job despite a few games won by their opponents of the day. The last of this second day saw the entry of another favorite of the competition: Germany. Opposed to Belgium and the Netherlands, the Germans succeeded in their mission, but not without sweating. After losing their opening matches, Bela and Moment got their team back on track, forcing the group favorites into a deciding set. Even if they did not win this match, the Netherlands / Belgium coalition showed that they should be reckoned with in group A.
The second half of this week started with the clash Saudi Arabia vs United Arab Emirates. If the first won 2-0, almost all the matches needed to go until the decisive round, giving a meeting much tighter than the score would suggest. The North Africa vs Finland match was also hotly contested, and despite the African final victory, the Finns showed that they should not be underestimated. The last day was marked by a speedrun of the United Kingdom against Portugal, the British atomizing their opponents. The latter are already in difficulty, even if they can always catch up in the upcoming matches against North Africa and Finland. It was finally the turn of Spain, another favorite to enter the competition. They were undermined by a surprising Moroccan team, determined to shake up the established hierarchy. After his team conceded the first set, Spanish captain Uriel Legion decided to enter the competition, while choosing to let Genisgod, one of the best Europeans on Dragon Ball Fighter Z, play before the deciding rounds. This decision completely changed the face of the match, the Moroccans failing to beat either Uriel’s Nagoriyuki or Genisgod’s Ramlethal, who were able to offer Spain its first victory in this tournament.
