Guy Bedos: that "terrible" moment when he slept on his father's grave (VIDEO): Femme Actuelle Le MAG

"Let's say this is it, I'm dead! This is where the trouble begins!", cried Guy bedos on stage over twenty years ago. A memory tinged with bitterness today, only a few days after his disappearance. Indeed, on May 28, 2020, the humorist and actor Guy Bedos died at the age of 85, after having imposed a hunger strike in full confinement. A peaceful end of life accompanied by her cats but also marked by a deep melancholy, as her longtime friend explained Michel Drucker. The day after his death, France 3 paid him a final tribute in a two and a half hour documentary, retracing his career as well as his life as a man from Paris to Algiers. The comedian and father of five even allowed cameras to accompany him to his father's grave. A moving moment transformed into giggles like Guy Bedos used to …

"Guy stop! But what horror!"

After talking about the comedian's flamboyant career, France 3 was interested in the roots of Guy Bedos. For this, destination Algeria and more specifically in his hometown, Algiers. A trip during which the humorist took the opportunity to visit his father's grave. "Here … My father, my grandfather, all my friends are there!", launched Guy Bedos at the entrance to the cemetery. A few seconds later, Mireille Darc's cameras follow the humorist to the grave of a certain Alfred Bedos, his father who died at the age of 95. When suddenly, Guy Bedos lies down on this same tombstone: "Ah, here we are!", he said, hands on his stomach. For Joëlle Bercot, this funny moment turns to the vision of horror: "Guy stop! But what a horror!", she launched before taking out her camera. "Okay, okay now! Stop it!", finally begged the actor's wife.

Despite his great attachment to his native Algeria, Guy Bedos however did not wish to be buried on these lands but in Corsica, in the small village of Lumio. A symbolic place where he loved spending hours contemplating nature with the family. In his autobiographical book As the countryside darkens, he had addressed a few words to his friend Michel Rocard, also buried in Corsica: "Definitely, our destinies will have crossed each other until the end, my dear Michel. You know it, my grave awaits me in the cemetery of Lumio, this village that you loved so much."
