Guy Georges: what becomes of the serial killer?

Sentenced in April 2001 for the murders of 9 young women, the French serial killer Guy Georges is still imprisoned in the central house of Enisheim, in the Haut-Rhin.

He was nicknamed the killer of eastern Paris. On April 5, 2001, Guy Georges was sentenced to life imprisonment with a 22-year security sentence. He was found guilty of murdering and raping 7 young women, all of whom were found gagged and had their throats cut between 1991 and 1997. Since then, the French serial killer has been imprisoned in the central house of Enisheim, in the Haut-Rhin. But what becomes of the man who once plunged Paris into horror?

Become obese according to Marianne, Guy Georges is now 60 years old and leads a discreet daily life. However, he recently made a name for himself when Martine Henry, the mother of Jonathann Daval, was promoting his book Me, mum of Jonathann. Referring to the prison life of her son, the latter said that she had met Guy Georges in the corridors of the remand center. “He comes to say ‘hello’ to us, he is very nice, very polite. (…) He has surely changed in prison, because they all change there, they become calm again”, she confided on the airwaves of RTL, specifying that her son “gets along Alright” with the serial killer.

Guy Georges soon released from prison?

In addition to Jonathann Daval, Guy Georges would have forged links with another French serial killer: Émile Louis. In any case, this is what a prison guard recently told our colleagues at RTL. “We see amazing scenes of everyday life, like a game of pétanque between Guy Georges and Émile Louis in the prison yard”, he said. According to Marianne, the serial killer would also maintain links with the outside world. In 2019, he notably dated a 22-year-old film student, whom he received once a month in a family parlor. It is not known if this curious relationship is still relevant in 2023.

In March 2020, the end of Guy Georges’ security sentence made him eligible for parole. Nevertheless, the killer from eastern Paris did not file any request, visibly determined to keep the promise he made at the end of his trial in 2001. “I’m going to inflict a sentence on myself. I’ll never get out of prison, you’ll be easy”, he had indeed declared.
