Available for many years on several platforms, the card game developed by CD Projekt RED, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, is talking about him again today since the studio has recently announced that the software will soon no longer host new content.
Indeed, in the video presenting the 2023 roadmap of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, Pawel Burza, “ senior community manager ”, and Vladimir Torsov, the director of the game, announced that CD Projekt RED will stop supporting, and therefore bringing new features to the software, in 2024. After 2023, the follow-up of the game will be, in a way, transferred to the community, via the tool named internally “Project Gwentfinity”. At this time, the development studio has not shared any details on this, but we will, of course, keep you informed.
However, before 2024, players will be able to discover more seventy new game cardsslated to arrive sometime next year, including via expansions slated for April, July, and September. Two tournaments are also planned for 2023.
The last 7 years with @PlayGwent were the best years of my professional career. I’ve met so many amazing people and made so many unforgettable friendships. I’ll always look back at this time with a huge smile. Let’s make 2023 as epic as possible! Love you all! ❤️
