The 76-year-old had claimed Paltrow ran him over at Deer Valley Resort in 2016, causing him ongoing health problems. He initially sought $3.3 million in damages in 2019, but that lawsuit was dismissed. A second process was now about the sum of 300,000 US dollars (about 280,000 euros).

Paltrow filed a countersuit, demanding a token dollar. The actress’ attorney told the court that Sanderson drove into his client in the accident, not the other way around. Her children Apple, 18, and Moses Martin, 16, also testified at the trial.

Hollywood star is “satisfied”

Paltrow said in a statement she shared on an Instagram story after the trial, “I felt that tolerating a false allegation compromised my integrity.”
