- Filming for GZSZ began on March 16, 1992, initially in the Berlin Union Film Studios in Berlin-Tempelhof.
- In 1995 the GZSZ crew moved to Potsdam, where they have been filming in Babelsberg ever since.

Is Maren’s face disfigured after a beauty operation?
Maren (Eva Mona Rodekirchen) succumbs to the beauty craze! For a class reunion, she wants to look young just like a former classmate. When she passes a beauty salon, she spontaneously treats herself to a quick beauty treatment and hopes that the result will convince her. But the plan doesn’t work: Maren reacts to the treatment and suddenly looks worse than ever!
“You will hardly recognize me,” Maren teases her mother on the phone, full of anticipation for the torture. But then in front of the mirror the great awakening: “Oh, you shit!” Maren’s eye area is defaced. “I just wanted to be pimped up a bit and get rid of the wrinkles around the eyes,” she tells Nina (Maria Wedig).
