Hades 2’s first patch focuses on player requests

A first patch has just arrived on Hades 2, focusing its changes on Melinoë’s Dash and resource harvesting. A few days ago Supergiant Games was already talking about it. This update is quite light, ignoring the slightest balancing. It is mainly bugs and some blocking situations that are targeted. However, the studio took into account players’ comments to improve some details.

As mentioned in the previous note, it is no longer necessary to equip a tool to harvest resources. Once this is unlocked, the player can collect whatever they want from any collection point. Another system replaces it, with the possibility of prioritizing a resource. By prioritizing a tool, all resources linked to it will reappear more quickly. Conversely, non-prioritized tools will see their resources take longer to return.

The second big change of this first patchHades 2 concerns the Dash, but also the Sprint. The latter is intended to be faster while being more fluid when you want to change direction. For Dash, its usage becomes more reliable when used to exit a recovery animation. Some skills also become easier to dodge. All modifiers linked to these two mechanics therefore benefit from some adjustments.

A few other changes are worth noting, but many reveal areas and characters to discover in-game. What to remember from this patchHades 2 is that it fixes many interactions that were not intended. It also repairs some benefits, the appearance of certain monsters, or more simply a change of device that was not working properly.
