The color grows out and the approach cannot be overlooked? If you are in a hairstyle crisis, you should know these simple hairstyles.

The hairdressing salons have closed, the approaches are getting bigger and more disruptive. However, if you don't want to reach for hair dye on your own, you can make do with simple styling tricks for the time being. Some hairstyles and tricks are ideal for skilfully concealing unsightly color transitions or gray hair.

Volume and curls

The best thing to avoid when the color grows out is smoothness. Volume and texture, on the other hand, ensure that the transitions become almost invisible. It is helpful to tease the approach a little so that it is visually shortened. Wild curls also distract the gaze, as demonstrated by the hairstyling by Jennifer Lopez (51, "On the Floor"). Then fix the hairstyle with hairspray for a long hold.

High messy bun

It's quick, easy and still makes something: the messy bun is the perfect styling for unwanted approaches. Here, too, it is an advantage to tease the hair a bit before tying it high on the head into a rather unclean bun will. Individual strands can be loosened and styled on the face afterwards. Hailey Bieber (24) is also a fan of this technique.

Loose braids

If you want to take advantage of the unwanted play of colors on your head, you can try your hand at braiding skills. It is important that the braids are not braided too tightly on the scalp, but rather loosely. Model Chrissy Teigen (35) presents two Dutch braids that she has curled into an open braid at the nape of the neck. Loose strands loosen up the styling, the braiding gives the look a certain chic.

Hair bands and hats

Probably the most classic methods of concealing approaches: headbands, caps and hats. While the last two accessories fix the problem in no time at all, a bit of dexterity is required with hairbands. Here, too, it makes sense to tease the hair before attaching the tape in order to create volume. Then the fabric is draped in such a way that it covers the transition between the colored hair lengths and the roots. Singer Katy Perry (36, "Smile") shows how: Her red-white-checked bow skillfully separates blonde hair from the dark roots.

(Wrong) pony

While a strict middle or side parting emphasizes the ever larger approach, styling with bangs, on the other hand, has a concealing effect. But what to do if there is none? You don't have to use scissors yourself. A fake pony can be styled with long hair, like the one worn by singer Rita Ora (30, "Your Song"). The hair is styled in a high bun and the tips are placed over the head at the end. To round off the styling and make the bangs look even more authentic, it is advisable to cover the strand that has been coiffed to the front with a hair band.
