Some of us have been waiting eagerly for this day: since March 1st, the hairdressing salons have finally been able to open again! For us, this means: No more split ends, inch-wide approaches and a haircut that hasn't been there for a long time. So it is high time to take the reins again and declare war on the life of our own. But what do you do when you've got hold of one of the coveted appointments at the hairdresser's of your choice? Just go back to normal or maybe try something new? To make this decision a little easier for you, we will show you which hairstyles are really hot this year.
Invisible layers
This trend hairstyle not only hangs limp and shapeless from our heads. Perfectly placed steps provide momentum and abundance and have absolutely nothing in common with the extreme step cuts from the 00 years. The so-called "Invisible Layers" are adapted to the individual hair structure and thus ensure more fullness, structure and lightness. Have you always envied the fashionistas for their casually falling hair? Now you can have it too!
Due to the individual setting of the steps, the step cut 2.0 no longer creates any hard edges and the transition appears completely natural, almost "invisible". This gives you soft volume, which makes the look so easy that straightening irons and curling irons can stay in the closet. Just let it air dry – et voilà!
Ultra short bob
We have all seen the classic bob umpteen times. And its variations, such as the long or the short version, have been styled up and down by fashionistas in recent years. But in the ultra-short version, the bobsleigh will attract everyone's attention in 2021 – we're sure of that. The main characteristic of the hairstyle, as the name suggests, is the ultra-short length. Because the tips of the ultra short bob reach the chin at most – but can also be worn even shorter. For the ultimate coolness factor, the bob is always cut as an edge and not as a step like with many other hairstyles.
The general rule is: Due to the relatively simple and accurate cut, the ultra short bob is very uncomplicated in terms of styling. You can easily imitate the characteristic look at home even after the initial styling in the hairdressing salon and without a lot of frills. For people who generally have little time in the bathroom in the morning or who do not feel like lavish styling, this should be a further plus point.

The most prominent representatives of the so-called sweeping fringe aka side fringe are certainly Duchess Kate or Dakota Johnson. The two have been wearing the bangs that have been cut slightly to the side for years and are showing us what we have always known deep in our beauty hearts: This style is timelessly beautiful and also suits every woman.
The sweeping fringe is not a pony in the classic sense – that means: We are not talking about a straight pony that covers the full forehead. Instead, the contour is cut in stages so that the hair on the sides falls loosely into the forehead, similar to the curtain bangs, which were already super hip last year. The advantage: The bangs appear light and conjure up an extra dose of movement and volume in the hair.
French girl hair
Super stylish and casual at the same time – that probably best describes the trend hairstyle 2021. The basis for the favorite hairstyle of It girls like Jeanne Damas or Sabina Socol is a long bob, which shouldn't be too accurate. But the bob is only half the battle of the French girl hair. The girlish twist is provided by a fringed pony that falls loosely over the forehead and provides a fountain of youth. We only say one thing: Oui, oui, oui!
Sounds easy? Unfortunately it is not! Because as imperfect as the cut looks, it has to be cut perfectly. Instead of a sharp edge, the tips are shaped with a knife in such a way that a slightly frayed look is created. The hair looks lighter and gets that typical French nonchalance. The real supreme discipline, however, is the pony. The special thing about it: it practically fuses with the rest of the hair. However, manual skills are required for this effect. The sides of the fringes are longer than the front part and lie gently on the cheekbones. This creates a flowing transition that looks super casual. In addition, the longer the hair in general, the longer the side section of the pony can be.
Tousled hair
The rising star in the curly trend sky is called Tousled Hair and not only looks super casual, it is also very easy to style. As the English name suggests, (tousled = disheveled) it is not about creating accurate curls, but rather creating a relaxed look that softly plays around the face and is more reminiscent of out of bed than of red carpet – Undone-Locken Deluxe so to say.
And best of all: none of us have to worry about whether we can also carry the mega trend. Tousled Hair suits every face shape, every hair structure and length. At the Fashion Week in New York last year, however, it was noticed that women with bobs in particular are banking on the new trend in hair styling. But don't worry: women with medium-length or long hair don't have to avoid this trend either.
