A few days before the launch of Elden Ring, the enthusiasm of the Shiningless in the making was at its height, unfortunately they were very quickly caught up in the harsh reality. After a fanfare release, Elden Ring received more than mixed reception, especially when it came to PC gamers.
Elden Ring was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the start of 2022. Eager to discover what this Souls-like has in store, many players embarked on the adventure from day one, allowing FromSoftware’s latest title to get off to a great start.
Unfortunately, multiple shadows quickly came to obscure the picture. While most console gamers seem to fall through the cracks, PC gamers have a lot of setbacks.
Very quickly many voices were raised on social networks to complain about the state of the game on PC, so much so that the developers took the floor, promising multiple fixes “in the near future”.

Elden Ring, a real cold shower for PC gamers
Far from being appeased by this speech, players have continued to point out everything that is wrong with Elden Ring, a resentment that is reflected in particular in the ratings given to the game on Steam.
Among the most cited grievances are the FPS stuck at 60, repeated crashes and FPS drops, but this is only the tip of the iceberg. The consensus is that as things stand, Elden Ring isn’t meant to be played on PC at all.

A number of gamers have pointed to Elden Ring’s lag compared to the AAAs released in recent months, again citing the 60 FPS limitation, HDR not working, and lack of support for 21/24″ monitors. 9.
Of course, even if several players did not hesitate to classify Elden Ring as the worst of Souls, claiming that they would quickly be reimbursed, most intend to give the developers time to fix the situation.
However, as discontent continues to mount on the side of PC gamers, we can only hope that the developers will rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
