Halle Berry appeared on Instagram with tufts of hair under her armpits. These are insights behind the scenes of her new film.
Halle Berry (58) had to transform quite a bit for her current thriller film “Never Let Go”. After all, she plays a woman who has retreated to a remote cabin in the forest with her twin sons Samuel and Nolan and is increasingly becoming wild. On her Instagram account, Berry gave an insight into the transformation into her character Momma – including artificial armpit hair.

“Momma in the making,” she wrote on September 28th about some photos and clips. This is “one of the most complex characters I have ever had the opportunity to embody.” Her role required fake tattoos and armpit hair.
In the first clip of the post, Halle Berry is seen sitting next to makeup artist Norma Patton-Lowin, who laughed with her as the two took a look at the fake armpit hair. “So what’s going on here, Norma?” Berry asked Patton-Lowin. “What were you doing? What were you doing, Norma?” After the makeup artist laughed with Berry about “the things I do to you,” the actress also showed off her corrected eyebrows and some realistic-looking tattoos she got for filming. “Thank you Halle for letting me push you to the limits for your figure! I had a lot of fun working with you and creating Momma,” the makeup artist commented.
Berry also posted herself with blonde hair and a denim top, a topless mirror selfie and the crew clapping.
Film presented her with great challenges
In April, Halle Berry spoke about the film at CinemaCon and revealed that she had to use “a little bit of method acting” to get into the role. She said at the time that her character in the horror film “ate beetles and frogs – raw frogs – in the forest” and that she “had to properly skin a squirrel.” This represented a “tremendous challenge” for her.
