Halle Berry has sharply criticized a radio presenter who had previously made a racist comparison at their expense.

One should think that the ongoing debate about systematic racism in the US has at least made people aware of the issue. But again and again TV and radio presenters allow themselves racist sentences and insults – and that “live” and “on air”. So does the US radio presenter Rob Lederman. He used the skin color of black celebrity ladies to describe his preferences for toast. One of them, the actress Halle Berry (54, “James Bond 007 – Die Another Day”), commented on the statements and found clear words.

“Get the fuck out of here”

“Disgusting. It’s ridiculous that this kind of nonsense is still being broadcast on the radio,” wrote Berry on Twitter and published an audio recording of Lederman’s statements. All black women are beautiful and valuable, the actress continues. Berry ended her post with the abbreviation “GTFOH”, which stands for “Get the fuck out of here” and can roughly be translated as “piss off, damn you” in German.

Lederman apologizes after being released

Lederman has meanwhile lost his job. Shortly after his more than questionable settlement, he was fired from his employer Cumulus Media. After being kicked out, the moderator apologized: “I want to apologize to all the people I have hurt with my stupid and ignorant comments,” wrote Lederman in a statement which he published on Twitter. He made a mistake and could no longer look in the mirror. He also promised to grow from his mistakes.
