This Tuesday, June 18, the Olympic Torch stopped in Cannes for a precise and timed journey. An event to which Halle Berry was invited as reported by our colleagues from Page Six. Around 11 a.m., the 57-year-old actress collected the flame a few meters from the legendary Palais des Festivals. On a video published on the X account of France TV SportInternet users were able to see Halle Berry dressed in white, her hair styled in a fuzzy bun and sunglasses screwed on her nose, launching into the race.

At the pace of a short stride, she did not fail to greet the crowd as she reached her point of arrival. Once on the Croisette, the star of the saga X-Men passed the baton to an American footballer. Recognizable with her pink hair, Megan Rapinoe was the next to take part in the collective relay. Mikaela Shiffrin, Shaun White, Sue Bird, Carmelo Anthony and Paul Rabil succeeded the 38-year-old double Olympic medalist. An American wind has indeed blown across the Alpes-Maritimes.

Paris 2024 Olympic Games: a princely couple carries the Flame

No respite for the Olympic Flame. Once the Cannes route was completed, the latter headed towards the Monegasque Rock. It was at 2:15 p.m., in front of the statue of Juan Manuel Fangio, that his journey began with Charles Leclerc, winner of the last edition of the Monaco Grand Prix. After passing through the hands of the skier, Alexandra Coletti, or the bobsleigh pilot, Rudy Rinaldi, it was Albert of Monaco, accompanied by his wife, Charlene, who proudly carried the flame to the door of honor of the Prince’s Palace.

On the square in front of the palace, the couple posed with torches in hand and dressed in the official outfit of the Olympic and Paralympic flame bearers, namely a “unisex and white uniform, symbolizing peace, unity and fraternity between peoples” designed by the sports brand Décathlon, as indicated by the organizing committee of the Paris Olympic Games. The son of Rainier III and Grace Kelly and his wife Charlene of Monaco were also immortalized alongside their two children, Gabriella Thérèse Marie and Jacques Honoré Rainier. For the occasion, the twins opted for black tracksuits marked with the emblem of the establishment where they attend school, the François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré school (FANB).
