There was great astonishment when Halle Berry (54) appeared on the red carpet with a completely new look for this year’s Academy Awards. The actress sported a short, edgy bob with raspy bangs – an unfamiliar hairstyle that was definitely remembered. Now it turns out, however: your “Oscar Bob” was “just kidding”, like Berry to her latest Instagram post writes, including crying laugh emoji.
The Oscar winner shared a selfie of herself, which she shows with a long, brown mane and a grin on her face. There is no trace of the Oscar bob, which was apparently just a wig. Fans and followers are sometimes surprised, but others would have guessed it. “Never do that again,” says one person in the comments. Another writes: “Of course! I didn’t believe it for a second.”

Berry’s hairstyle went viral on social media shortly after the Academy Awards on April 25 – but not just in a good way. Many users have made mocking comparisons, including to Johnny Depp (57) in the role of Willy Wonka from the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” or to the figure Edna Mode from “The Incredibles”. With her Instagram post, however, Berry shows once again that she takes such fan comments with humor.
