Halo: Bonnie Ross leaves 343 Industries, changes within the studio

The situation of Halo Infinite hasn’t really been ideal for a few months. 343 Industries was forced to push Season 3 of Multiplayer to next year, extending Season 2 until next March. And despite the promise of a big game update this winter, the community has reason to lose patience. Internally, the team also had to deal with some obviously unforeseen challenges, with the departure of Bonnie Ross, who was at the head of 343 Industries.

Family and medical reasons involved

No controversy here or forced departure, Bonnie Ross says she’s sadly leaving the studio for medical reasons involving her family. The one who was at the head of 343 Industries since Halo 4 bows out, not without emotion:

While I had hoped to stay on Halo until we release the winter update for Halo Infinite, I am letting you know that I will be leaving 343 and taking care of a family medical issue. I’m incredibly proud of the work everyone at 343 Industries has done with Halo Infinite, the Master Chief Collection, the Halo TV series, and so much more. It has been an honor to serve alongside this team for the past 15 years and to be part of a world that I love. Thank you to everyone in the Halo community for your support. The future of Halo is bright. »

As Windows Central indicates, this departure upsets the organization of the studio. It is Pierre Hintze who will take over as head of the studioafter working as a lead producer at 343.

Among the changes in the hierarchy, we also find Bryan Koski who will be in charge of licenses at the studio (including Halo), and Elizabeth Van Wyck who will now officiate at the very top of the business and operations sector.
