Is there a start date for Halo Season 2?
So far, there is no official information about the launch of the sequel. If filming started on time in the summer of 2022, as Sky itself reported, then season 2 could well start in spring 2023.
What is Halo Season 2 about?
Little can be said about the plot of the sequel at this time. Season 1 just restarted and that Master Chief’s destination not yet known. The only thing that is certain is that the many enemies are far outnumbered and allies are scarce.
In the games, not only is the alliance breathing down humanity’s neck, the Master Chief later takes it with him Factions of the Bruts, the Flood, the remnants of the Forerunners and the Prometheans on. In any case, there is enough storytelling for further adventures.
Halo Season 2: Cast
The role of John-117 alias the Meter Chief is taken over again in Season 2 by Pablo Schreiber (“Verschveile”). At his side, Jen Taylor, who has voiced the character since the first video game, speaks the AI Cortana. Also Natascha McElhone (“Californication”) in her role as Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey return.
The other cast of the “Halo” sequel is completed by Yerin Ha (“Reef Break”) as Ha Boo, Bokeem Woodbine (“Fargo”) as Soren-066, Natasha Culzac (“The Witcher”) as Riz-028, Olive Gray (“Half Moon Investigations”) as Miranda Keyes and Danny Sapani (“Penny Dreadful”) as Captain Jacob Keyes. Tylan Bailey and Fiona O’Shaughnessy (“Nina Forever”) are also promoted to the main cast in Season 2 in their roles as Kessler and Laera.
Surprisingly, Charlie Murphy (“Peaky Blinders”) will also return as Makee in season 2. Although Makee actually died in the season 1 finale when she was shot by Kai, the official Paramount+ press release states that Murphy will return in her role in season 2. It remains to be seen whether Makee will only be seen in flashbacks or whether there will be another explanation for her return.
The cast also has two brand new members to report. ‘The Vampire Dairies’ and ‘The Originals’ actor Joseph Morgan and Mexican actress Cristina Rodlo (‘The Terror’) join the regular cast in new roles in Season 2. While Morgan takes on the role of UNSC agent James Ackerson, Rodlo will star as young recruit Talia Perez.
