JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the video released by Hamas on Monday showing three of the hostages captured in Israel by the Palestinian Islamist group on October 7, calling it “cruel psychological propaganda.”
The video shows three women, identified by Benjamin Netanyahu as Yelena Trupanob, Danielle Aloni and Rimon Kirsht, sitting side by side against a wall, with Danielle Aloni sending an angry message to the prime minister.
The latter accuses Benjamin Netanyahu of not having protected Israeli citizens during the deadly Hamas attack and of not having brought them home, also demanding that an agreement be reached to guarantee their release in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
“You were supposed to liberate us all. You pledged to liberate us all. But instead we bear your political, security, military and diplomatic failure,” she said.
In a statement, Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his promise to do everything possible to bring the hostages home.
“You who were kidnapped by Hamas, which commits war crimes, I embrace you. Our hearts are with you and with the other captives. We are doing everything to bring home all the captives and the missing,” he said. he declared.
This short video is the second hostage message broadcast by Hamas, after that of Mia Schem, a 21-year-old Franco-Israeli, broadcast on October 17.
