Hana Kimura: professional wrestler dies at the age of 22

Japanese professional wrestler Hana Kimura passed away at the age of 22. Her wrestling club Stardom has that confirmed on Twitter. "With great sadness we have to inform you that Hana Kimura has passed away." The club also asks for respect and prayers to their family and friends.

The exact cause of death is still unclear. Kimura made her debut as a wrestler in professional Japanese sports in 2016. In the same year she took home the first titles, including the JWP Junior Championship. She switched to the Stardom club in 2019 and sometimes won the Artist of Stardom championship twice. Her mother is professional wrestler Kyoko Kimura (43).

In addition, many may have known Hana Kimura from the Netflix series "Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020". She was in front of the camera for the last season. The Japanese reality show is about six adult people living together in one house. Because of the Corona crisis, filming was last stopped.
