The French handball players, crowned Olympic champions only five months ago, outclassed Ukraine 36 to 23 early Saturday evening in Szeged (Hungary) and are close to qualifying for the main round of Euro-2022.
Guillaume Gille’s players signed a second success in as many games, after their initial victory against Croatia (27-22) on Thursday.
They will face Serbia in their third match of the 1st round on Monday evening (8:30 p.m.) still in Szeged.
