Hanging cheeks? You can do this for sagging cheeks

At some point it just starts to hang. This realization also hit our author and she goes in search of the ultimate tips against sagging cheeks. Here are their results.

At some point the time has come: You stand in front of the mirror and see a very slight curve downwards where there was previously a tight facial contour. And thats just the beginning. At some point our cheeks sink deeper and deeper into the ground and make us look grumpy and in a bad mood, although we are not at all. And we certainly don't want to look like that.

In the mid-twenties, the body begins to die …

… a saying that was brought to me on my 25th birthday. Thank you! A well-founded explanation would have brought more, because then I would have started directly with various creams and facial workouts instead of realizing 10 years later full of horror that I am no longer 25, although I still feel that way.

But where do the hanging jaws come from now?

Excess fat and a connective tissue that is increasingly losing substance and firmness are to blame for sagging contours. And it all starts in my mid-twenties. Unfortunately that's the way it is. The elasticity decreases and in the coming years more fat accumulations will accumulate in the subcutaneous tissue in the upper cheek area. That in turn can no longer hold the weakening connective tissue and whoosh, everything slowly but steadily slides down one floor. Ciao nice cheeks.

How badly it hits one or the other, of course, also depends on other factors. The genes, lifestyle, diet and and and. In the end, it is unfortunately like this: We all age. Nevertheless, there is a lot that can be done to slow down this nasty process and at least stop the loss of contour a little.

Work it out! – Facial gymnastics against sagging cheeks

Sounds strange, but it's effective! And you can do that:

massage

Massage your cheeks in small circles with your index fingers – stimulates blood circulation and tightens hanging cheeks.

Holding exercise

Pull the corners of your mouth upwards and outwards at the same time, as if you were grinning a little silly in front of you, until you feel your cheekbones. And now hold on! At least five seconds. Then clamp the cheeks between the middle and index fingers and gently pull them outwards. Now you repeat the whole thing ten times.

Make thick cheeks

Take a deep breath and puff your cheeks like a frog. Then hold your breath for a few seconds, alternately push from side to side and exhale slowly. This, in turn, not only works against sagging cheeks, but also smooths the skin and relaxes the nasolabial folds.

Where is the fountain of youth when you need it?

Let's be honest, at some point even training will no longer be able to defeat gravity, but this way we can at least slow down the process a little. Because if it depends, you can massage how you want. But even then, that's no reason to go under the knife. The beauty industry is incredibly innovative and new technologies are taking over the market. Special fillers, for example, which are injected under the skin in a minimally invasive way, can compensate for loss of volume on the cheeks, tighten contours and at the same time stimulate the body's own collagen production. And if that's nothing at all, just practice acceptance and self-love. We are getting older, but also wiser.
