Hape Kerkeling: cult figure Horst Schlämmer has its own wax figure

The legendary stage figure by Hape Kerkeling is now actually with Madame Tussauds: Horst Schlämmer has his own wax figure.

A great honor for the entertainer Hape Kerkeling (55, "The boy needs to get some fresh air"): His legendary cult figure Horst Schlämmer actually made it to the wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Berlin. The occasion is the 15th anniversary of the stage of the fictional local reporter with cash register frame, worn trench coat, overbite and men's handbag.

Now there are even Kerkeling there twice: "We have had the wax figure of Hape Kerkeling for years," said a spokesman for the museum of the "Berlin Week". However, visitors would have always wanted Horst Schlämmer.

Horst Schlämmer has not been around since 2014

Kerkeling presented himself for the first time in the striking masquerade in 2005, creating one of the most popular comedy characters in Germany. Kerkeling won the German Television Award and the German Comedy Award with Schlämmer. In 2009 there was even the film comedy "Horst Schlämmer – Isch kandidiere!" to the cinemas.

In 2014 Kerkeling appeared for the last time as a smoking and not averse to alcohol, deputy editor-in-chief of the also fictitious "Grevenbroicher Tagblatt". Incidentally, it is the only wax figure among around 120 other exhibits in Berlin that is not a real person, but only a stage role.
