Hape Kerkeling: He sings with the Cologne cult band Bläck Fööss

Hape Kerkeling sings in Cologne with the Cologne band Bläck Fööss. "It was a great day with him," enthuses the cult band.

Entertainer Hape Kerkeling (55) has recorded a song for the upcoming anniversary album with the Cologne band Bläck Fööss (since 1970). It should appear this year and celebrate the 50-year band history; further guest star appearances are planned. As "Express" also reports, the piece reinterpreted and sung by Kerkeling is "Wenn de Sonn schön schingk".

How about Hape Kerkeling in the studio?

"Very, very good" Kerkeling did his part in the studio, is quoted by Fööss member Pit Hupperten. "Singing in Kölsch is always something like that. But linguistically it is extremely versatile and talented. It was a great day with him," continued the musician. The musicians posted a photo of the creative meeting on their Facebook page.

Hape Kerkeling also mixed in with another song: "Buchping vun Heimwieh". According to the tabloid, it is "a Cologne cover version of the title 'Brabant' by the Dutch songwriter Guus Meeuwis (48)". With the support of Bläck Fööss, Kerkeling is said to have written a Cologne text for the longing song.

The exception celebrities

Hape Kerkeling withdrew from the public in 2014. Only sporadically he can still be seen on the red carpet. He was also seen at several award ceremonies, readings and the election of the Federal President.

This year he will even return to the big cinema screen. Kerkeling was in front of the camera for "Der Boandlkramer und der Ewige Liebe" by director Joseph Vilsmaier (1939-2020). The last film of Munich, who died unexpectedly in March, in which Michael Herbig (52, "Ballon") can also be seen, is set to be released in November 2020. How and whether the premiere is celebrated and with or without Hape Kerkeling is still in the Corona stars.
